Documentation of our life journey; Farewell 2015

(Written: 28 Dec; Scheduled for: 31st Dec)
FB has this new feature reminding us of photos that were uploaded on the same day several years ago.  It is heart warming and irritation at the same time.

Spent sometime browsing old blog sites of friends who are still currently, but (some) are only occasionally, blogging.  One blog site is even now no long accessible.  Which reminds me, should still print the photos or blogs in this digital age.

Here's some of the oldest photos I came across:

My old blog - May 2008

Lixing's old blog - Dec 2008 and Aug 2009 (Chloe)

And the first blogger whom I know of, the one that inspired me to start blogging; here's a Feb 2008 posting when Wee San came back to Singapore for good.  Anthony was just 6 months old back then, and he will be P3 in a few days' time.

A dedication to all parents, wishing all a happy and healthy 2016..

Gardens by the Bay Dec 2015

This was taken on 29 Nov, an impromptu visit to the Gardens by the Bay.  I feel that many other countries' man made garden or park pale in comparison to our GBB.  Here are some photos of our visit and the Christmas-decorated Super trees.

Still a kid

The year end school holidays is almost over.  Once school reopens, she will be in upper-Primary!!!!

During the Christmas gathering at May's house, someone made a remark, that although Matthew looks "big", but he is still a kid.  I can't agree more.  Lynn is the same age as Matthew; at 9, Lynn still cries a lot, like when she is unwell or when unhappy.  And I have been observing Mabel very very closely.  I remembered that it was end of P5, that Mavis started to draw apart from her younger cousins.  Mabel hasn't really started doing so, but I wonder if it is due to the closer age gap between her and Lynn.

I have not had the time to write about Lynn's P3 journey; I hope to do so soon, but it will most definitely be sometime next year, which is just round the corner.  Here's just a handful of pictures of her fun filled Dec holidays..

14 Nov, Lynn asked me to bring her to Expo to attend "Home team Singapore" event.  That afternoon, we attending a birthday party at Suntec.  So I spent that whole day hanging around with my sweetie..

2 very nice pictures of her at Suntec

This holiday there were lots of "overnight" at my place and at May's place.  See what the girls have been up to!

Finally, Lynn wanted cash as BD gift from her aunts and uncle, but WK said no.  He asked her to pick a gift, and she actually asked for a Dolphin Island trip, for her and her cousins.  Which cost a bomb..  Isn't this a valuable lesson on the value of money for daddy and kiddo?

Ok, I will try to post some pictures and write about the dolphin experience when I can.

October BD girls (4)

Finally, this is the last celebration, in early Nov, for 2 more Oct BD gals and a Nov BD boy.

I didn't plan to buy her a BD present, but I chance upon a candy that Lynn had been looking for for a long time (always out of stock).  So I bought it for her and gave her a surprise on the actual day.

Her exams ended only in the first week of Nov.  So on the first weekend of Nov, the 3 kids celebrated their birthdays together.

At her "favourite" cake shop again - Icing room...

A three-in-one BD cake!

It's difficult to get the kids to pose for a decent photo
Cheeky fellow:
Happy BD kiddos!!

Oct BD girls (3)

This was the earliest BD celebration, on 3rd Oct.  Aunty Cindy won the election bet, so she actually treated the family to lunch at Toa Payoh Safra's Gim Tim Restaurant.  So it became a cum-BD-celebration-cum-family day.  We ate, the we went bowling.  The turn out was 16 pax, but the family's not that into photo taking, so I end up only with picture of the BD gals..

Nice smiles all around!

Oct bd girls (2)

My dear sister is also a Oct BD girl, but I seldom celebrate for her nowadays.  So I sent her these MomentCam pictures to perk up her day..

October BD girls (1)

I know of A LOT of October birthday girls.  Lili is one of them.

This year, because we wanted to visit Joc's new home, so we invited WK and Lynn along to the birthday dinner, else it will just be the 4 of us gals.  After dinner at Nex, we proceed to Joc's new home in Serangoon/Hougang

Lynn tried out the jacuzzi which was in the balcony outside the master bedroom on the second floor of the duplex.
After we left, they sent me a series of ''act cute'' photos through whatsapp.
