WK, myself and MIL attended the mini performance by all P1, at Lynn's school hall on the last Thursday afternoon of term 1. It was a simple performance, with some costume, and no props. Actually I'm not impress at all, and I wonder what's the purpose of this event. This event could have been a new experience for the kids IF they have not done so at pre-school. However most kids nowadays go to pre-school that deliver high standard performance, so this one totally pale in comparison. Here's some pic:
Before the performance, a pic of parents, and grand-parents seated in the school hall. The school hall is not air conditioned, so it's quite stuffy.
The kids were seated at both sides of the hall. I found Lynn to be at the front row (in pink T-shirt).
WK made time for this event.
The first show was by the Malay students. They sang a Malay song, about animals. I enjoyed this.
This is Lynn's class, singing "Planting rice is never fun":
Lynn's at the corner of the 2nd row:
I think this pic is the finale, when the kids at both sides of the hall sang "Kheng Cheng Light of mine". I like this song, sounds nice and a simple song that kids will be able to identify with. The performance lasted an hour.
