It's 17Nov today. I had been lazy to blog, but I finally picked up the lap top, at this late hours to. To my horror, it suddenly occurred to me that I might have not backed up or transfered the late Oct photos in my iPhone 4S. I checked my company phone, and the iPhoto in this laptop, and sure enough, I can't find those pics.
And I just spent the last few minutes looking in my FB, and I actually didn't post any pic in there either.
Hmm, where shall I start? We had a home party, a joint celebration for Lynn and Brayden. This year, I added Halloween deco on top of the birthday deco. As usual we had loads of food.
Something different this time around was that I organised games for the kids. The slight challenge was that the games must be suitable for kids with the age range of 3 to 13. The first game was Bingo. My dad bought Lynn this toy Bingo set. It has 78 number balls in a drum, which can be spin around. It has a catch for a ball to fall into, and a ramp for the ball to roll down. It's entertaining, cos the adults were all amused that there is such a toy set. I went around the living room to get every adult to give it a try (at spinning). Soon lucky Matthew got a winning diagonal set of numbers.
We then moved on the second game which was treasury hunt. I drew a floor plan of my house and indicated 6 locations (with crosses) where the "treasuries" can be found. Each kids was given a piece of the treasury map, and they were supposed to find and gather a prize and 2 envelopes with their names on them. The fastest to come back to me with these 3 items wins the game. I think all the kids (the younger ones were partnered with an adult) enjoyed the frantic search, cos some items were missing, I'm not sure how, but I think Winny misplaced them, ha!
Finally after unwrapping their treasury hunt prize, the were briefed about the last game, which was to open the 2 envelopes and to answer the 2 questions in the envelope (again the fastest wins). I thought that this game would be the least fun. In the end, it turned out quite amusing for me, cos Lynn, Matt and Mabel actually got 1 wrong answer each. I teased them, but also explained to them how the questions were actually appropriate for them, and taught them how to work out the correct answers. For example, Mabel's question was "how long does it take for an aeroplane to fly to Bali -a) 5mins b)15mis, c) 3hours, d) 24hours". I taught her how to use elimination method to deduce that c) is the correct answer.
So much for the party. What were my feelings about her 7th birthday? I think there were not much feelings back then in Oct. However, this week that just past, was her last week at school, and she took her report book and got her award. It felt like I always said, that I'm feel blessed and contented that I have such a cheerful girl. Of course I can't deny that the academic award makes me proud, but really, what makes me the laugh everyday is her happy spirit and her chattiness. Recently, she gave me a new nickname, which is "Mrs bossy-knows-all"! Ha! And she told me on the way to her award ceremony on Friday "Hurry up Mummy, walk faster (looks at her watch); time flies when you are happy.... yak... yak... yak... yak..." and 5 mins later when we almost reach the school gate (looks at her watch again) "... oh, time flies when you are talking!" Haha! She has reached her 7 yr old, end of P1 milestone, no longer the little kid soon. I wish that she will be safe, and healthy, and continues to blossom into to beautiful girl with a beautiful heart.
Happy very belated birthday my angel.

I'm actually waiting for your post on this and now you've lost the photo which means we'll have no record of it.... haha!
Anyway very good games organised and yes, my mistake I missed out one pack of the envelopes.
If you're using android phone probably can use recovery software to retrieve the pictures (can be done even if you've erased and without back up), but Iphone is gone forever if there's no back up of it.
