This Southern Ridges walk took place on the 6 of Sep, Saturday. It is a 6km walk from Kent Ridge park, to Hort park, Alexandra Arch, Henderson Wave, Mount Faber, and ending at Harbour Front MRT. I signed up for Lynn and myself, but Lynn was sick from Tuesday to Friday, so I went alone.
3 buses were arranged to pick up the 120 participants at office at at 8am. I didn't want to make my way down to Tampines, so I planned to reach Kent Ridge park by 930 to join them at the start of the walk. In the end, I was running late, so I met them at Hort Park before 10am.
It was a fantastic day for such activity; it was not too sunny nor did it rain. Those who us who went, like Karen, Jennifer and Winnie all share the same interest in flowers and greenery as I do. I was also happy that some other colleagues from my implementation project team were there. The logistic were well planned, and there wasn't any incident. The group was orderly and cooperative.
The walk was not too strenuous for me. I enjoy such walk, and I hope to take Lynn on the same trail during Dec school holiday. Here are pictures!
