Modelling n camera trick!

This coming weekend my aunt n I signed up for a flea market at TPY central.  I scouted through my wardrobe and decided to sell 16 pieces of preloved (infact some are quite well worn already) clothing items that have grown out of favour with me. I decided to do something more than just to display them; hoping to secure better sale result, I decided to model them by myself!

So on Saturday evening, after Wee San's class, she came to my house to help me take photos. Before she reached, I set up my computer and printer, and put on make-up. Although I have a canon digital camera, but I'm too lazy to use it anymore, so we used my iPhone. We then printed the first sample. The effect isn't good, not because of the phone, but because of the printer. WS suggested that I don't print, but to just show the pic to prospective buyers, which I thot is a very good idea. Then she had a even better suggestion, which is to use the iPad. So we end up taking pic using both iPhone and iPad.

We spent one and a half hour taking pics of all the 16 pieces.  Luckily we decided not to print, else who knows how long more its going to take to complete. By the end of the session, one big take away lesson for me is that, never trust a pic, ha! We had lots of fun experimenting with different angels and pose, and counting "one, two, take a deep breath to tuck in the tummy, then click.." I am very satisfied with the results; I think the pics looked great! Hopefully this little effort will generate good sales!

1) The first dress that we tried.  My face looked very white because we are trying to make sure the horizontal lines on the black skirt shows.  When printed, the colours were not that nice, and the lines didn't show, so that's when we decided not to print at all.

2) An old and comfi dress.

3) All thanks to WS, I didn't turn out fat in this white dress!

4) Do I look young?  Ha!

5) I have only wore this once, during a christmas party and I actually won best dress..  It looks pretty in photo, but because it's white and shapeless, it's style is very difficult to carry off.
Without the belt

6) Next, comes the T shirts.  This is very very worn, so I going to try sell this for just $1

7) Shiny sexy black tank.

8) I look a bit fat in this T.

9) This is one of the more challenging piece.. Got to suck in my tummy hard..

10) Brown T.  Modelled it 2 ways to show off how versatile it is.

11) Next, this is the only piece of working blouse that I'm selling

12) This jacket is very difficult to carry off too.

13) Now the skirts.  This black/shite chequer skirt is still in good condition

14) So is this blue chequer A line skirt

15) This blue skirt turns out to be the most challenging piece, cos its body hugging.  We tried many times.

16) This skirt is grey in colour.  It will be difficult to sell, but actually it's very pretty

Finally, actually there were 17 pieces that I picked.  But after wearing this for the photo, I decided not to sell this purple skirt.

It was fun, pretending to be a model!  Will blog about the flea market experience!
